Marcelo to 'terminate Olympiacos contract FOUR months early,' he's received 'transfer offer from a foreign team'

Marcelo has made only 10 appearances for Olympiacos and scored three times since his stunning departure from Real Madrid last summer.

Real Madrid legend Marcelo could make his sensational exit from Greek side Olympiacos four months before his contract expires, according to reports in Spain.

The 34-year-old left-back started his senior playing career with Fluminense before signing for Madrid in 2007, with Marcelo enjoying incredible success at the club.

Marcelo lifted six La Liga titles, five Champions Leagues and two Copa del Reys during a glittering 15-year career with Los Blancos.

The Brazilian defender made his sensational exit from the Spanish capital at the end of last season and completed a free transfer move to Olympiacos last September.

Marcelo signed a one-year deal with the Super League Greece outfit, but the former Madrid star’s playing time has been limited this season.

The Olympiacos full-back has made 10 appearances and scored three times for his current side, with Marcelo playing roughly 332 minutes this season.

Spanish outlet Relevo now reports that Marcelo wants to terminate his contract with Olympiacos early in a bid to ‘leave Greece.’

It is believed the former Brazil international also received a transfer offer from a ‘foreign’ club.

According to reports, both Olympiacos and Marcelo would be ‘happy to see [the] outcome’ of a contract termination.

And it is suggested that Marcelo, whose contract expires on 30th June, has been ‘highlighting economical and sporting reasons’ behind the offer he received.

Marcelo has been linked with a potential reunion with former Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo amid reports of a keen interest from Al Nassr.

It is believed that Al Nassr would be open to the idea of Marcelo and Ronaldo linking up again on the pitch after their time together at Los Blancos.
