Manchester United have just five players worth more than €40million (£34million) in their squad.

Erik ten Hag’s men have ambitious plans for the off-season, having been linked with mega-money deals for the likes of Harry Kane, Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Osimhen.

Yet according to The Athletic, at present, United’s transfer budget for the summer window is around £100million.

Of course, that figure could be dented too, should the club not qualify for the Champions League, due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

Given FFP stipulates a club’s spending is dependent on the revenue it generates, United would earn less by playing in the Europa League than Europe’s premier competition, and so be allowed to spend less on transfers.

However, The Athletic claim United’s transfer budget would also include the money the club generate through player sales. But how valuable is the Old Trafford club’s squad?

Man Utd player values

According to CIES, United have just five players worth more than €40million (£34million).

Marcus Rashford, who has enjoyed the most productive season of his career, claiming 29 goals and 11 assists in all competitions, is United’s most valuable player at €100million (£87million).

Burno Fernandes and Antony are United’s next most valuable players, despite the latter’s underwhelming first season in English football. Both have a transfer value of €80million (£69million).

Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez, who has enjoyed a successful first campaign at Old Trafford, and Jadon Sancho are United’s next most valuable players at €60million (£52million).

Sancho, who has struggled to settle at United since a high-profile £72million back in 2021, is among a slew of players that have been linked with an exit this summer.

The rest of the squad are worth less than €40million (£34million).

Notable values include Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw, who both are at €30million (£26million).

Furthermore, the much-derided pair of Harry Maguire and David De Gea, are valued each at €20million (£17million), despite the former having signed for United for some £80million in 2019.
