Manchester United could see their transfer budget boosted by £50 million if Sheikh Jassim manages to win the race to buy the club, it has been reported.
Since the Glazers first put the club on sale back in November, Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has been the frontrunner alongside British billionaire and INEOS boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Now, according to Football365, United’s transfer kitty could receive a boost of £50 million if Sheikh Jassim is successful with his bid to buy the Old Trafford club.
It has been claimed that due to Financial Fair Play rules, United’s spending will be limited but the Red Devils will receive the £50 million boost through Sheikh Jassim’s vow to clear the club’s debt.

In addition, United are also looking to bring in as much as £100 million by selling the likes of Harry Maguire, Fred, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial.
This means that Erik ten Hag could end up with a war chest of £250 million and according to the Daily Express, he is targeting six new players.
Having already sealed the deal to bring Mason Mount to the club from Chelsea, United are now said to be advancing in a deal to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
United are looking for a new number one after the departure of David de Gea.

Whilst reports in Japan are stating that Urawa Red Diamonds stopper Zion Suzuki is close to finalising a £5 million transfer to United.
The report also claimed that Ten Hag is eyeing Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund as his next marquee signing, the Serie A side are believed to be holding out for at least £50 million.
Fiorentina and Morocco World Cup star Sofyan Amrabat is also believed to be on United’s radar. Last week, there were reports that personal terms have already been agreed between the Red Devils and the player.

Lastly, United are also set to target a new centre-back due to the uncertainty surrounding Maguire’s future.
Monaco and France defender Axel Disasi is believed to be on United’s wish list.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has said that Ten Hag has approved a move for the 25-year-old.
