A supercomputer has predicted who will ultimately emerge victorious from the nail-biting Premier League title race between Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Arsenal have defied their harshest critics’ expectations by solidifying their dominance at the top of the table, with the Gunners five points clear of second-place City.

Arteta’s men swept aside north London rivals Tottenham in a 2-0 win this month before securing a sensational 3-2 victory over Manchester United at the Emirates.

Arsenal, who have a match in hand, will face Guardiola’s men in the league next month at the Emirates, which could have a huge impact on the title race this season.

City remain hot on the heels of league leaders Arsenal and picked up a 3-0 win over Wolves on Sunday at the Etihad thanks to a stunning Erling Haaland hat-trick.

According to bettingexpert’s supercomputer, City’s hope of retaining the Premier League title will be thwarted as Arsenal are predicted to come out on top.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, who are level on points with Manchester United inside the top four, are predicted to beat the Red Devils to a third-place finish.

Joining City, Newcastle and Arsenal in the Champions League next season are United, according to the supercomputer, with Tottenham finishing fifth.

Posted below are the supercomputer’s full predictions for the Premier League table this season.

A supercomputer has tipped Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to capture the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

“The way you have to reduce the gap is play good and win games,” he said earlier this month.

“[Arsenal] have an average that they will do more than 100 points the way they have done so far.

“If they continue in that way, we will not catch them. We have to be almost perfect from here [...] and see what happens.”
