Liverpool ace Alisson Becker has finally returned to full training following an abdominal injury.

The 29 year-old had a great 21/22 season and played an integral part in Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League charge .

However his most important contribution may have come in the FA Cup final, where his outstanding display in the penalty shoot-out secured the Merseyside club a domestic double.

The Kop will be buzzing to see the Brazilian back in action.

It has been a tough pre-season for Liverpool when it comes to injuries of key players.

Diogo Jota and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have also missed a fair chunk of the preparations for the upcoming campaign.

Liverpool’s pre-season in general has been a mixed bag so far.

Their first clash saw them lose emphatically to Premier League rivals Manchester United, with the Red Devils knocking 4 past them without reply.

However they then went on to beat a well-structured Crystal Palace side 2-0 to restore some confidence ahead of the Premier League campaign.

Their most recent game gave fans even more to shout about as they beat a strong RB Leipzig side 5-0, with their new £80 million signing, Darwin Nunez, bagging four goals in the second half.

The first real test for the Reds comes next weekend. They face Man City in the Community Shield, and the game will be a great indicator of where the Premier League’s top two sides are ahead of the new season.

Liverpool will no doubt be pushing hard for their No.1 to be able to start, and will hope the Brazilian can even help them to some silverware early in the season.
