Alisson appears set to leave Liverpool in the summer after reaching a verbal agreement to join a major European side.

The 2026/27 Premier League season is rapidly coming to an end, with what promises to be a dramatic summer transfer window to follow.

Several of the biggest clubs in England are expected to be busy throughout the window, including Liverpool who will reportedly look to sign several key players ahead of next season.

But it isn't just incomings that are expected at Anfield, as the Reds will lose perhaps the most key player in their recent history at the end of the season as Mohamed Salah is set to depart.

The Egyptian announced his decision to leave Merseyside in March, calling an end to a Liverpool career that has seen him become the third all-time leading scorer in the club's history with 257 goals at the time of writing.

However, things could be even worse for Liverpool as it has been revealed that another club legend could be on his way out this season with Alisson Becker reportedly reaching an agreement to join Juventus in the summer.

According to a report from Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, the Liverpool goalkeeper has now reached a verbal agreement with the Serie A giants amid rumours linking him with a move in recent weeks.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Moretto said: “There are important news regarding the future of Alisson because I have said many times of how Juventus are searching for a strong name in the goalkeeping department.

"Alisson is the name chosen by Juventus. There is already a basis of verbal understanding between Juventus and Alisson. The footballer opens the door clearly to Serie A. He is really very fascinated, attracted by the Juventus project."

As it stands, Alisson is under contract at Liverpool through to the end of the 2026-27 season after a one-year extension in his deal was triggered last month.

Therefore, it remains to be seen if Liverpool will sanction a move for the Brazilian and, if so, how much they would demand in order to let him leave.

But, Moretto has added that direct club-to-club talks between Liverpool and Juventus are set to follow shortly.

“He wants to leave Liverpool in a way that both parties are satisfied with his departure," Moretto claimed.

"But between Alisson and Juventus, there is already a basic understanding, there is already a ‘yes’ from the goalkeeper.”

“Juventus is going to try and get him, then we will update you on when there is official talks, and first official contacts between the two clubs directly.”

If the Brazilian keeper were to leave Liverpool it is widely expected that Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has started for Liverpool in recent weeks as Alisson remains sideline by injury, would step up as the club's new no.1.

That being said, it is almost certain that the Reds would look to sign a new keeper to replace his place in the squad.
