Darwin Nunez's Individual Highlights Against RB Leipzig Has Liverpool Fans Very Excited

Darwin Nunez starred as Liverpool thrashed RB Leipzig.

A stunning compilation of Darwin Nunez's four-goal showing against RB Leipzig shows his real potential following an underwhelming start to his Liverpool career.

Nunez made headlines for all the wrong reasons in his debut against Manchester United, missing a sitter in his side's crushing defeat.

He didn't fare much better against Crystal Palace, with fans taunting Liverpool's big-money summer signing.

However, the 23-year-old showed his worth as he delivered a stellar showing in Thursday's pre-season match.

He netted FOUR goals after coming off the bench in a performance that has excited Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans alike.

Nunez led the line well, making darting runs into the attacking third and holding the ball up nicely to link up his teammates.

As for his goals, the Uruguayan looked composed in attack, slotting nicely for his second goal of the game.

He brilliantly found space to complete his hat-trick and made a smart run to score his fourth goal.

The forward's individual highlights have emerged online following his outing in Germany and it makes for impressive viewing.

Needless to say, Nunez got Liverpool fans talking online, with some supporters comparing him to club legend Fernando Torres.

One tweeted: "He is a real finisher."

A second wrote: "What I really liked about his play today is his positioning, he was a real worker today."

A third added: "Nunez giving me serious Torres vibes."

Another commented: "Torres esq."

Speaking after the 5-0 victory over Leipzig, Klopp spoke of the impact the performance will have on Nunez.

"We always think that if you pay a lot of money then the players feel no pressure or whatever," he told LFC.

"They are all completely normal human beings and the first touch is not perfect then all of a sudden... This generation of players read social media, which is really not smart, but they do. All of a sudden you get in a rush and these kinds of things.

"That’s the best way obviously to stop all these discussions. He’s a different striker to what we have or what we had, but he’s a really good one."
