Liverpool fans are fuming at one of their players after their 4-1 loss to Manchester City

Liverpool fans are fuming at one of their players after their 4-1 loss to Manchester City

Following City's emphatic win over the Reds, Liverpool fans are not best pleased with what one of their players did on the touchline.

Liverpool fans are furious with one of their players and his actions after Man City scored their equaliser against the Reds on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool took an early lead against City, with Mohamed Salah slotting away past Alisson in the 17th minute to give them an unlikely lead.

City managed to work their way back into the game, with Argentian starlet Julian Alvarez bagging the equaliser just 10 minutes later.

Pep Guardiola was ecstatic on the touchline, jumping around in celebration, before then going up to shake Konstantinos Tsimikas' hand, which he declined.

Guardiola then approached Liverpool loanee Arthur, who is yet to make a league appearance for the club, and shook his hand as he did not hesitate, before exchanging a few words with the Brazilian.

Liverpool fans did not take too kindly to this on Twitter, especially after the game as City eventually triumphed in a huge 4-1 victory.

"Arthur had the opportunity to make himself a Liverpool legend there without kicking a ball by giving Guardiola what he deserved. What a horrible classless man he is." One fan claimed.

"What the f**k is Arthur doing shaking the bald fraud’s hand!?!?" Another angrily asked.

One fan even had a humourous comment to make about Arthur's playing time: "Can’t blame him he’s not playing for us anyway."

City came up with three more goals in the second half to put the game to bed, with De Bruyne, Gundogan and Grealish getting their names on the scoresheet to keep all three points in Manchester.

The result left City just 5 points behind Arsenal prior to the result of the latter's game against Leeds on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool on the other hand now sit seven points adrift of top four, though they still have a game in hand over 4th placed Tottenham.
