'That one hurt' - fans devastated with Laura Woods after her 'knife-twisting' Football Manager comments

TalkSPORT presenter Laura Woods sent fans on social media into a frenzy after she aimed a subtle dig at the popular Football Manager series.

Fan-favourite talkSPORT presenter Laura Woods has ‘twisted the knife in the heart’ of Football Manager players after her brutal dig at the series.

Fans flocked to social media on Tuesday and claimed Woods said live on talkSPORT that she doesn’t play Football Manager because ‘she has a life.’

Football Manager enthusiasts were left in complete shock, with one fan believing Woods is underplaying their achievement in leading San Marino to the World Cup.

One fan hilariously suggested that former Sky Sports presenter Woods “struggled in the Vanarama” after her comments on the Football Manager series.

Woods took to Twitter and responded to the aforementioned comment with a nodding GIF, but other fans were quick to express their heartbreak at her remarks.

“Damn, that dig at Football Manager players by [Laura Woods] hit me hard there. Almost like my World Cup win with San Marino meant nothing,” one fan said.

Somebody else wrote: “Well…. That’s my [heart]. [Laura Woods’] Football Manager opinion has done me, there’s no getting over this.”

“That one hurt like a knife through the heart. [Laura Woods] Football Manager is the greatest game and we all have lives,” a third Twitter user posted.

Another fan commented: “[Laura Woods] has just said she doesn’t play Football Manager because she has a life. I feel that now [it] has blown any chance I had. She thinks I have no life.”

While one Twitter user tweeted: “Feeling personally attacked this morning on talkSPORT, as [Laura Woods] just said if you play FM, you have no life… Day ruined.”
