Real Madrid's Stance on Vinicius Jr's Future Alerts Two Premier League Clubs

Vinicius Jr is reportedly a transfer target for two of the Premier League's top clubs but his departure from Real Madrid is no sure thing.

Real Madrid thrashed Levante in La Liga on Tuesday and Vini Jr scored the first goal in 4-1 win, adding an assist for the second.

After scoring the opener, the Brazilian forward made a show of kissing the club badge on his shirt in celebration, apparently indicating that his time at the Spanish capital club isn't done just yet.

The 25-year-old is contracted to Los Blancos until the summer of 2027 and reports indicate that the club will look to sell him next summer if no new deal is agreed in the meantime.

That position has put Arsenal and Liverpool on alert as the absent 2024 Ballon d'Or runner-up is understood to be of interest to both.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also been notified that Vini Jr could be available and willing to move to the Premier League.

According to reports, the player and his agents have been told that he will be moved on if an agreement isn't reached on his terms at the Bernabeu.

That agreement could be some way off as it stands, with salary inevitably the sticking point at present.

"Vinicius Junior’s agents want €30m (£26.2m, $35.4m) per season, including bonuses, in salary, but Real Madrid are offering him €20million (£17.5m, $23.6m) per year," reports TEAMtalk.

Despite the ongoing negotiations behind the scenes, Vini Jr's goal celebration at Levante suggests he'd be a reluctant leaver next summer.

Indeed, Fabrizio Romano is apparently keeping himself busy between transfer windows by interpreting La Liga body language and has inferred a 'clear message' in the badge-kissing moment.

Vini Jr has started the 2025-26 season in fine scoring form under new head coach Xabi Alonso.

Los Blancos have won all six of their league games so far and Vini Jr has started five of them.

The Brazil international has made goal contributions in four of those matches, racking up a total of three goals and three assists against Real Oviedo, Mallorca, Espanyol and Levante.

Their next league match is the capital derby at Atletico Madrid on Saturday and Alonso's side will kick off as league leaders regardless of Barcelona's result against Oviedo on Thursday.
