Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is planning a summer of blockbuster signings including six big names on top of Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to reports.

Alexander-Arnold is expected to sign for Real Madrid on a free transfer after confirming that he will leave Liverpool and walk alone when his contract expires at the end of the season.

But Perez is believed to see a need for a major overhaul after Los Blancos missed out on silverware in the Champions League and Copa del Rey, with a four-point deficit behind La Liga leaders Barcelona making matters worse.

Carlo Ancelotti will leave the Bernabeu and his successor could have a whole host of new talent at his disposal.

According to Defensa Central's Real Madrid Confidencial, Perez is plotting some very aggressive summer raids on some of the biggest clubs in Spain and Europe.

"Dean Huijsen, Miguel Gutierrez, Martin Zubimendi, and Rodri are the [Spanish] players Real Madrid will seek to sign," reports RCM.

With Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo spearheading an already lethal attack, the quartet of Spanish stars would add a left-back, a central defender and two defensive or deep-lying midfielders to the Bernabeu ranks.

20-year-old Huijsen is in demand at the end of an outstanding season in the Premier League with Bournemouth.

Tempting Manchester City to part ways with Rodri would be challenging for even Real Madrid at the best of times and the Ballon d'Or debacle in January probably didn't do much to grease those particular wheels.

Gutierrez joined Girona from Real Madrid three years ago and would be the easiest capture of the lot with the capital club still in control of 50 percent of his rights.

Basque midfielder Zubimendi has been a key player for Real Sociedad for six years after coming through the youth system and could be in line for a big move to Madrid just as he reaches his peak years.

Completing the apparent summer shopping list is a pair of players from the top two clubs in Germany's Bundesliga.

Versatile Germany international Joshua Kimmich would add some experience to the group thanks to nine league titles and a Champions League medal with Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid are also reported to be targeting another Bundesliga winner with his best years ahead of him.

Florian Wirtz played a huge part in Bayer Leverkusen's historic double last season and has lusty admirers all over the European game.

If Perez can succeed in his summer spree, Real Madrid will be stronger in key areas and have a little more creativity behind their exceptional firepower.
