There has been a new twist in Real Madrid's record pursuit of a mystery Galactico signing that president Florentino Perez has been teasing.
Perez has been challenged by Enrique Riquelme in Sunday's presidential election - with the latter promising to sign Manchester City pair Erling Haaland and Rodri and hire Jurgen Klopp as Los Blancos' next manager.
But Perez, who has had two spells running Real, has also made a huge promise in the event that he continues in his post.
On top of being ready to appoint Jose Mourinho for the second time, Perez went on Spanish TV show Horizonte on Thursday and said that he is "going to make an offer to an important, Champions League club, for a great player".

He said that the transfer would be at least €150 million, which would make it a record deal for the 15-time European champions.
Haaland, his City teammate Jeremy Doku, Harry Kane and Michael Olise were all ruled out - even though links to the Bayern Munich star did then emerge.
"It isn't [Michael] Olise, he's a great player, but it isn't Olise," he said.
"It isn't [Jeremy] Doku, it isn't Haaland. It isn't [Harry] Kane. It's a player who plays from the midfield, or further forwards. And he isn't a Premier League player. He's a total Galactico. But first we'll talk to his club."
Update on Real Madrid's mystery Galactico pursuit after Florentino Perez record-breaking claim
Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League-winning pair Vitinha and Joao Neves were both touted by Marca, but in a fresh twist, it's been reported one of their colleagues is the player in question.
Citing sources close to Real, Graeme Bailey of TEAMTalk says that those within the club believe the player Perez is referring to is none other than Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Georgian has just helped PSG win a second Champions League in a row but it's claimed Real are confident they can prise him away this summer.
It's said talks have taken place in a bid to pull of the signing of Kvaratskhelia, who Real believe would be open to signing for them.
PSG signed Kvaratskhelia from Napoli for a fee of £69.1 million but Real will likely have to pay double that.
That being said, the European champions do not wish to sell one of their top assets and do not need the money.
At Real, the potential arrival of Kvaratskhelia would add to the speculation regarding the future of Vinicius Jr, given he plays in the same position on the left flank.
The Brazilian has still yet to agree a new contract at Real, with his current deal expiring in 2027 and the club at risk of losing him for nothing.
Real have already been busy with transfer business, snapping up Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate on a free and paying the £17 million release clause for Inter Milan and Netherlands right-back Denzel Dumfries.
