Marcus Rashford has responded after producing an early contender for miss of the season in Barcelona's pre-season victory over Como.
The 27-year-old has joined the La Liga side on loan for the campaign from Manchester United after the Old Trafford youth product was made available for transfer.
After spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, Rashford has moved to the Catalan club for the 2025/26 campaign, with an option to eventually make the transfer a permanent one next summer for a reported fee of £30.3 million.
Rashford last played for United in December 2024 during a Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen and is not in boss Ruben Amorim's plans.

Ahead of the World Cup next summer in the USA, Canada and Mexico, Rashford will be hoping for regular game time for Hansi Flick's team in a bid to make sure he is in England boss Thomas Tuchel's plans.
Over the weekend, Barcelona continued their preparations for the new La Liga campaign and to defend their title with a 5-0 pre-season victory over Italian outfit Como.
Fermin Lopez netted a brace to put Barca two goals to the good, before Raphinha and Lamine Yamal put Barcelona 4-0 up at half-time.
Though Yamal added his second and Barcelona's fifth in the second half, it was a miss from Rashford that proved to be the big talking point after the match.

When the score was 4-0, the United loanee was put through on goal by Yamal and went around the Como goalkeeper with the net at his mercy with two defenders rushing back.
But though it looked like Rashford was about to add Barcelona's fifth, the attacker slotted wide to the surprise of all watching and it looks like it could be an early contender for miss of the season.
But reacting to the game on social media, Rashford was happy with the performance and result from him and his new teammates and is looking forward to the upcoming campaign.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Good performance, good win. Ready for what’s coming."
Barca boss Flick believes his side has some work to do defensively but overall was pleased with what he saw in the victory and is looking forward to his side opening the defence of their La Liga title next Saturday against Mallorca.
He said: "I think we showed our quality in the offence. I think in the defence, we have some situations and we have to make it better. But in the end, it's a good result and how we played with the ball was really good.
"The team really worked well and really hard also, they showed really good quality in training and this is what we want to see. I'm looking forward to the match against Mallorca."
