Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has named his three ‘favourite players’ who don’t play for the La Liga side and even admitted that he wants the club to sign one of them.

Yamal, 17, is widely regarded to be one of the hottest prospects in world football right now, having already won La Liga, the Euros and Supercopa de Espana in his fledgling career.

But who does he rate highly?

Well, he recently gave an interview to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (MD) and revealed the three stars he wishes he played with at Barca.

Of course, as you may have expected, the teenager opted for three attacking options rather than defenders, but some of his picks may surprise you.

One of his choices was Neymar – currently at Santos – who Yamal has been fairly open about his admiration for in the past.

"I was five years old when I saw him at Santos, but seven years old when I saw him in person at FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou,” he told CNN last year.

“It was incredible to see him. Yes, it’s true that (Lionel) Messi was there who was also incredible, but he was something totally different.

“Neymar has always been my idol. He’s a star, a football legend.”

In his interview with MD, the 17-year-old then named Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala as another player he would like to play alongside.

He even explained how he would want Barca to sign him but did acknowledge the fact he was under contract.

The Germany international recently penned a new deal at the Bundesliga side which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2030 ending speculation regarding a potential move to the Premier League.

The third name he mentioned was arguably the most surprising.

Yamal named Manchester City winger Savinho, 20, who signed for Pep Guardiola's side from Troyes in the summer of 2024.

And despite him still finding his feet in English football he has shown glimpses of his obvious talent, having registered seven assists and one goal in 20 appearances in the league.

The pair clearly have a good relationship with the City man recently dubbing Yamal the 'best in the world' in a comment on his Instagram.
