Kylian Mbappe's reaction to Lionel Messi's stunning match-winning free-kick for Paris Saint-Germain has garnered plenty of reaction online.

Messi came up clutch for the Parisians in the 95th minute with yet another stellar set-piece pearler to add to his collection.

Christophe Galtier's side were 2-0 up and cruising through goals from Mbappe and Neymar but the latter was later stretchered off after suffering a horrific ankle injury.

Lille had pulled one back through Bafode Diakite and found themselves in the lead with 20 minutes to go after strikes from Jonathan David and Jonathan Bamba.

Mbappe levelled with his second in the 87th minute before Messi curled in the 61st free-kick of his career in the dying embers.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner celebrated wildly in some sensational scenes at the Parc des Princes. He was mobbed by his teammates and Mbappe in particular absolutely loved it.

Much has been written about the pair's relationship following from Messi's Argentina beating Mbappe and France in the World Cup final, with his teammates mocking the former Monaco man.

Mbappe's brother Ethan had a cold reaction to Messi's guard of honour at PSG training but clearly Kylian has no issue with the Argentine.

He shared a wonderful embrace with Messi after his winner, picking him up off the ground after already hugging him in the celebrations.

And predictably, fans loved the interaction between the pair of footballing superstars.

One wrote: "Mbappe hugged Messi first time and then came back to hug him again."

A second said: Messi made a Ronaldo fanboy hug him twice. Truly the GOAT."

A third commented: "The sweetest thing after Messi's goal was the mad reaction of Mbappe. He was so happy for Messi that you couldn’t believe and describe it in words. Brothers, don't hate Mbappe. He is the next big thing of this beautiful game."

A fourth tweeted: "Mbappé hugging messi three times oh you know he was HAPPY."

A fifth stated: "Mbappe had to go back and hug Lionel Messi again, bro couldn't believe it."

The duo also embraced after the final whistle following a result which ended three straight defeats for PSG.

Next up for the Ligue One champions is the huge clash with Marseille next week.
