Jack Grealish trolls Graeme Souness by accepting his offer of a night out, but only if Paul Pogba can come too

That would be some night out.

Manchester City star Jack Grealish has cheekily accepted Graeme Souness' offer of a night out, but only if Paul Pogba is welcome to join them.

Souness has criticised both Grealish and Pogba in the past and he took aim at the England international again this week, claiming he is "a good footballer" but "not a great player".

Souness also claimed Grealish had failed to improve his game since joining City in a £100m move from Aston Villa in 2021 - prompting the City player to hit back at the former Scotland and Liverpool captain.

"I don't know what his problem is with me. He always says stuff about me," said Grealish.

"It is difficult [to ignore] when he's on Sky Sports and it's everywhere around the training ground. He was a great player and won a lot but I don't know what problem he's got.

"I know he's said a lot of stuff about me not moving the ball quicker but when I'm playing for a manager like Pep Guardiola and he's telling me to keep the ball as much as I can and have balls to take it everywhere, that's what I'll try to do.

"I always watch my games back and I'm very critical of myself."

Speaking on talkSPORT on Thursday, Souness made it clear he had no agenda against Grealish.

"Absolutely none," said Souness.

"I would love to go on a night out with him. I'm not sure I could stay with him, but I think I'd enjoy a night out with him!"

Grealish immediately responded on Twitter, accepting Souness' offer - on one condition.

"Let's do it!! As long as I can bring Pogba as a +1," joked the City star.

The France international responded in 2020 by claiming to be unaware of who Souness was.

"I didn't even know who he was, really," said Pogba, who left United in the summer to join Juventus on a free transfer.

"I heard he was a great player and stuff like that. I know the face but [not] the name. Like I said I'm not someone that watches a lot of [punditry], I watch a lot of football but I don't stay after the game to listen to what they say about why they did this or why they did that.

"I like to focus on football."
