One of Jack Grealish’s friends seemed a little worse for wear after Manchester City secured the Champions League.

On Saturday, City arrived at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul with the chance of finally winning their first ever European title.

During a cagey affair with Inter Milan, a brilliant finish by Rodri sealed the deal in the 68th minute.

As expected, the City squad partied long into the night as they celebrated their huge achievement.

The morning after, Grealish posted a video of his mate struggling to stay awake after a long night. You can watch the footage below.

Fans were quick to react to the video on social media.

One said: “Brilliant man. He’s just a down-to-earth lad living the dream. Good on him.”

Another tweeted: “If my best mate won the champions league I’d still be up partying till the next year’s final!!! Fact.”

A third fan added: “This is great, we’ve all been there before!!”

Someone else wrote: “Come on Jack.. Please let man rest.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Fair play, can’t be easy partying with the Champions of European.”

As a result of their triumph in Istanbul, they became the second team to win the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup in the same season, emulating their neighbours Manchester United in 1999.

After winning the Champions League, Grealish said: “It's what you work your whole life for, isn't it? So happy. I played so bad today, I was awful.

“To win the treble with this group of players and staff, I swear, it's so special. Everyone that knows me knows how important family is to me and how much I love football. This is what I've worked for my whole life.”

He added: “You think back to all the people who have helped me along the way. Just seeing my family there in the crowd, man, it's just so emotional.”

City will now celebrate with their fans with a parade through Manchester on Monday afternoon.
