Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal could sign talented free agent after contract ripped up

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal could sign former Real Madrid star Isco on deadline day after a move to Union Berlin fell through.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal could sign former Real Madrid star Isco on deadline day after a move to Union Berlin fell through.

The Spaniard signed for Sevilla in the summer, but had his contract terminated in December ahead of the transfer window.

He is yet to find a new club, although was close to joining Union, who are second in the Bundesliga, today. However, the German side called off the deal, claiming there were 'exceeded limits'.

The club stated: "We wanted to have Isco in Berlin, but we have our limits. These were exceeded today - contrary to the previous agreement."

As a result, Isco's search for a new club continues - and he may find himself playing in the Premier League in the near future.

Isco to the Premier League?

Liverpool were heavily linked with a £59 million move to sign Isco back in 2020, although the Reds decided not to proceed with a deal.

Over two years on, and Jurgen Klopp's side could seal a free transfer for the 38-cap Spain international.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are attempting to recruit a midfielder on deadline day, and are close to completing a move to sign Jorginho from Chelsea. But they may elect to bring in another, with Albert Sambi Lokonga set to join Crystal Palace on loan.

And United are also in the market for a midfielder, following the injury suffered by Christian Eriksen. The Dane will be out of action until late April or early May, as confirmed by the club in a statement.

But they have approached Bayern Munich over the signing of Marcel Sabitzer and, as per Fabrizio Romano, are in talks to bring the 30-year-old to Old Trafford, and the player has told the club he would be happy to join. It is unclear whether the move would be on a permanent or temporary basis, with United unwilling to spend big money on new additions this January due partially to FFP concerns.
