EA FC 26 has confirmed a major patch update that come as a huge relief to thousands of gamers.

The highly-anticipated latest edition of the popular football franchise was only released last week. And with changes across Ultimate Team and Career Mode, players quickly flocked to see what all the fuss was about.

But since the launch, frustration has been building around the infamous 'kick off glitch,' where makes it too easy to score straight from the centre circle. Because midfielders and defenders are far too passive at kick-off, gamers can simply bypass the weak challenges of the computer.

That means it is far more likely that gamers will score directly from kick-off, creating an easy chance to hit back immediately after conceding a goal. The EA Sports FC Direct Communication issued an update to confirm they will tackle the issue.

It read: "We see your feedback coming in around kick off goals and we're we're working on defensive positioning improvements that would only take effect around kick offs.

"Right now we're targeting this update for early October, and we'll let you know if anything changes.

"In the meantime, please continue giving us your feedback through the new FC Community Hub."

The announcement has been well received across the gaming community, with many fans relieved that there will soon be a fix for one of the game's biggest issues.

What are the other glitches in EA FC 26?

However, the kick-off issue is not the only glitch affecting the game. Players have now discovered a way to score from every corner.

Professional gamer Levi de Weerd, who plays for Team Liquid, posted an Instagram tutorial to show how it works. He explained: "Step one, call a player short, you call a player short to the corner kick by clicking R1.

"Step two, just run down the by-line, your opponent will cover the player that just took the corner kick because he thinks you're going to play it there.

"Instead, you just run down the by-line. Either you walk, or, even better, you use R1 technical dribbling. Step three: look at the back post and play a regular square cross.

"As you can see, these fly in every single time and it's not even harder to perform so make sure to try this corner kick out."

Despite these early problems, EA FC 26 have introduced some exciting new features.

This year's edition includes two gameplay styles.

Competitive Mode is played at a faster pace and is used for Ultimate Team, while Authentic mode is slower and more realistic, intended for career mode.
