Liverpool star Florian Wirtz isn't happy with his official EA FC 26 rating due to one stat in particular.

On Friday 26 September, the eagerly-anticipated latest version of the EA FC will launch across Playstation, Xbox and PC.

After what was one of the most dramatic transfer windows in recent history, fans of the popular football simulation video game are eager to jump in and try out their club's new players.

Ahead of the game's official launch, Liverpool decided to film several players in the squad receiving their copy of the game and reacting to their official ratings.

After weeks of rumours linking the German midfielder to the club, Wirtz joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in a then-record signing of £100million in June, penning a long-time contract until 2030.

The midfielder played a key role in Leverkusen's spectacular 2023/24 invincible Bundesliga season and the following season that saw Xabi Alonso's side win the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup while finishing second in the league.

Due to his impressive performances at Leverkusen and for his national team, EA awarded Wirtz with an overall rating of 89, the third highest in the Liverpool squad behind captain Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

Despite this, once he saw his rating he immediately pointed out that he thought his pace was far too low

Reacting to his FC 26 card, Wirtz said: "I'm faster than 80, but it's ok. Nice picture!"

"Pace is still low, like always… I deserve it” 😅

Wirtz is one of seven players in the Liverpool squad to receive a rating of 86 or higher after Arne Slot led the Reds to glory in the Premier League last season.

Fellow new signing Alexander Isak also received a career-best EA FC rating of 88, with Salah the highest rated in the squad at 91.

Van Dijk received a rating of 90 with Alisson being rated at 89 while Alexis Mac Allister and Ibrahima Konate received ratings of 87 and 86 respectively.
