Luke Littler has released another statement shedding further light on the shock announcement that he would be taking a step back from the sport.

On Thursday afternoon, darts superstar Littler shocked fans when he released a statement on social media confirming that he wanted to spend less time playing darts to focus on something that he really loves.

The announcement came just days before the 18-year-old competes in his opening match of the 2025 Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest.

However, some fans were quick to point out that his surprising announcement could simply be some kind of prank as Littler could be heard joking about the announcement in the final seconds of the video.

And now, fans of the young darts star finally have their answer, as Littler has released another video explaining exactly what his initial statement was referring to.

As many fans pointed out, just one day after Littler's initial announcement marked the highly anticipated launch of EA Sports FC 26, a game that the darts star has often expressed love for.

Therefore, many thought that Littler's video statement could be something to do with the video game being released on Friday, and they've been proven right as Littler's latest video revealed that he has partnered with Xbox to promote the latest instalment of the football game.

In the latest video, posted across Littler's social media, the Englishman is seen stepping away from the chair used in his initial announcement and instead waling around a retirement home in a dressing gown.

Littler then meets up with EA Sports FC content creators Bateson, Shauna Games and Angry Ginge and starts playing the latest EA Sports FC game on an Xbox.

While many fans will have to wait until the 26th September to play the latest instalment of the popular football video game, those that purchase the Ultimate Edition will be given seven days early access, allowing to play the game from midnight on the 19th.

Littler often speaks about his love for the EA Sports FC series, previously known as the FIFA series, and even streamed him playing in a team in the Pro Clubs mode alongside Angry Ginge and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney,
