In a segment on Fox Sports that has since gone viral, Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he "fell asleep" during the second-half of Sunday afternoon's World Cup clash between Belgium and Iran.
It was one of the most forgettable results of the tournament so far.
A spirited Iran side managed to secure a well-deserved point against 10-man Belgium, but the 0-0 draw at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles was hardly the most entertaining of spectacles.
In fact, after the full-time whistle, a far-from-impressed Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his feelings abundantly clear as he joined Thierry Henry and Alexi Lalas in the Fox Sports studio.

"In the first half, I almost fell asleep," said Ibrahimovic. "In the second half, I fell asleep. So this game, there isn't a lot to talk about. Another draw. I'll let my colleagues discuss this one."
Rebecca Lowe, Fox's lead World Cup presenter, couldn't help but laugh at Zlatan's blunt verdict. "We're glad you stayed awake," she said. "We really are."
“First half, I almost fell asleep. The second half, I fell asleep." 😂😂😂😂😂

The less interested he is, the more entertaining he becomes. It’s like a reverse Snoop Dogg pic.twitter.com/X2xBPn43yj
Roy Keane, who is working as a pundit for ITV at this summer's tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico, agreed with Ibrahimovic's point on the standard of play during Belgium vs Iran.
"In terms of the quality of the game, I thought it was rubbish, really bad," Keane said.
"Belgium obviously had a couple of really good chances, but the standard in terms of passing, movement, and decision-making? So poor."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic backs surprise nation to win this summer's World Cup
On Friday evening, Ibrahimovic claimed the United States can pull off one of the biggest upsets in football history and win the 2026 World Cup after making an impressive start to this summer's tournament.
Mauricio Pochettino's side recorded a 2-0 win against Group D opponents Australia to secure their place in the knockout rounds.
It was another solid display from the co-hosts, who made a dream start to their World Cup campaign on June 13, when goals from Damian Bobadilla (OG), Folarin Balogun (2) and Giovanni Reyna sealed a 4-1 victory over Paraguay.
Ahead of the tournament, few backed Pochettino's men to make a dent in the competition.
But in the aftermath of their latest victory over Australia, an optimistic Ibrahimovic claimed the USMNT can go all the way after recording back-to-back World Cup victories for the first time since 1930.
"If you didn’t believe before, I will repeat; start believing," Ibrahimovic said on Fox Sports.
"They have the country behind them, and when you have this support, it’s difficult to beat you. They had a good performance today. To be honest, Australia was not a threat today.
"I said it before, that whatever happened before the World Cup (doesn't matter). It is important what happens now. Now, the momentum they have, that is what they need. They just need to continue bringing confidence from game to game.
"The third game, let's see what happens now, they can rest some players now that they have qualified. It is looking good."
Asked by Rebecca Lowe if Pochettino's side can shock the world and win this summer's World Cup, Ibrahimovic was emphatic in his response. Without much hesitation, he replied: "Yes."
