Thierry Henry had a priceless response when Zlatan Ibrahimovic fired back at Landon Donovan after France's win over Senegal.
The 2018 champions got off to a winning start in Group I against difficult customers in Senegal, with Kylian Mbappe scoring twice and Bradley Barcola also on target for Didier Deschamps' side in a 3-1 win.
Unusually, former USA captain Donovan had branded the 2022 Les Bleus' first half performance "arrogant" and "casual" - which left France legend Henry miffed as he dismissed the claim.
Providing punditry for FOX Sports, Henry said: "Actually, I will skip that one. I just don’t get it.

"So because you are not 1-0 up or 2-0 up or 3-0 up after 15 minutes those words have to come out?
"But let’s concentrate on the game. We all knew what was going to happen. If people don’t know how Senegal can play and how good Senegal are then that’s on them."

The comment from Donovan was brought up again by Alexi Lalas, who played 96 times for the US. After repeating what Donovan had said, the 56-year-old actually heaped praise on France for how they turned it on in the second half.
He stated: "The reality is that if they are arrogant, it’s because they can do things like that.
"The patience that they showed after a poor first half… to come back and provide a masterful second half. With the talent that they have and the big stars showing up, that’s pretty special."
Ibrahimovic then interjected before presenter Rebecca Lowe could get a word in, shutting down Donovan's take with a simple sentence.
He said: "It’s not arrogance, it’s confidence. Ignorant people will say it’s arrogance, intelligent people will say it’s confidence."
The mic-drop level comment from Ibrahimovic brought a trademark facial expression from Henry, who had his eyes popping out of his head.

The trio has made for plenty of entertaining exchanges on Fox's coverage, with Ibrahimovic at the centre of it.
The Swede recently took a lie detector test with James Corden, with hard-hitting questions about multiple topics.
The light-hearted segment saw him say that four Ibrahimovics would be better than Fox's current punditry set and that he believes he was a better player than Henry.
It was also determined through the test he doesn't respect "the opinions of all" Fox's analysts.
When host Lowe brought up the segment and asked for Ibrahimovic's explanation, he complimented two of the panel but not Lalas when he said: "Rebecca, you look great. Thierry, you look sharp, Monsieur. Alexi ... we can discuss".
Ibrahimovic was adamant it is "all love" and then messed up his segway into the commercial break, leading to a pat on his shoulder from Lalas.
Lalas, who represented the US at the 1994 World Cup on home soil, is known for being outspoken in his punditry.
Just days ago, he was the cause of another golden reaction from Henry when he shocked the panel by calling Corden a "full kit w*****" - the kind of phrase which wouldn't be allowed on British TV.
