Ryan Reynolds has reacted to Wrexham’s dramatic 5-5 draw against Swindon Town by posting an important message to fans on social media.

After starting the season off with a 5-3 defeat against Milton Keynes Dons, Wrexham have been unbeaten in their last two league outings against AFC Wimbledon and Walsall.

Against Swindon on Saturday, Wrexham found themselves 4-1 down after 31 minutes after goals from Jake Young, Charlie Austin and Dan Kemp. Jake Bickerstaff was the scorer for the hosts.

In the second half, the Red Dragons produced a spirited come back as they make it 4-3 thanks to Elliot Lee and James Jones.

However, Swindon made it 5-3 after Kemp scored his second. But two goals in injury time from Lee and Jones salvaged a 5-5 draw for Wrexham.

After the match, Wrexham’s Hollywood owner Reynolds took to social media to send an important message to fans.

He wrote: “So much heart. #NeverLeaveAWrexhamMatchEarly”

Speaking on the back of the dramatic encounter, Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson said: “Where do you start? At 4-1 down at half-time I was confident we could respond and that's a credit to the group.

“I’ve been in dressing rooms before as a player and as a manager where that would worry you and it certainly didn’t.”

He added: “But we've also got to be honest that the very basics have got to be so much better.

“The lads were never ever giving in. If you put on a Wrexham shirt that's a requirement. But equally, we've got to be honest with ourselves. We need to do better.”
