Wrexham's poor start to the season continued on Saturday as they suffered a 3-1 home defeat to Queens Park Rangers – and it appears drastic action has been taken behind the scenes.
It was an afternoon to forget for Wrexham and their co-owner Ryan Reynolds, who was sat in the stands alongside actor Colin Hanks and former Manchester United defender Phil Jones.
Goals from Conor Coady (OG) and Richard Kone handed QPR a deserved two-goal advantage at half-time.
Summer signing Kieffer Moore scored a trademark header midway through the second half to give Wrexham a glimmer of hope, but Rumarn Burrell put the game to bed with 75 minutes on the clock.

As a result of their latest defeat, Phil Parkinson's side now sit 21st in the Championship with four points from a possible 15.

Expectations were high coming into the new campaign, especially after the club spent around £28 million this summer on strengthening their squad.
In fact, after bringing in the likes of Ryan Hardie, Nathan Broadhead, Callum Doyle and Ben Sheaf for big-money fees, they ranked above Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Celtic for net spend.

With all those factors in mind, Wrexham have reportedly held talks over Phil Parkinson's future, according to talkSPORT, who suggest the manager is under "huge pressure" to turn around the club's fortunes.
Parkinson has been nothing short of a revelation since arriving in 2021, overseeing three consecutive promotions from the National League to the Championship.
It would certainly be a controversial decision to sack him. Coming into the new campaign, the former Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Hull City manager was cautiously optimistic.
"If we get beat in games, which inevitably will happen, let's make sure we don't overreact as a staff, regroup and work towards the next one," he said back in August.

"That's the mindset we had last year, we had setbacks along the way, people doubting us. People think with three promotions we've had praise all the time and plaudits, but we've had periods where people start questioning me as a manager, questioning the players."
He added: "You come through these periods and there's always a bigger picture to look at."
