Turki Alalshikh breaks the internet with social media post about English club after being tipped to become the 'next Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham'

Turki Alalshikh sent football fans into meltdown following his cryptic social media post.

Turki Alalshikh has sent football fans into overdrive with his surprise social media post about an English club after being tipped to become the 'next Ryan Reynolds and Wrexham'.

Saudi chief Alalshikh has completely transformed the state of boxing, having injected huge amounts of money to make some of the biggest fights possible.

His entry in boxing has seen promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren collaborate with each other, delivering massive events.

Alalshikh, who owns Ring Magazine, negotiated a deal for last year's undisputed heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

He was also influential in making the all-British bout between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn.

Following his success in boxing, Alalshikh has been backed to venture into football and purchase a club.

With his financial backing, he has the potential to emulate Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have inspired Wrexham's back-to-back-to-back promotions.

Which club would Alalshikh acquire? Well, fans think he dropped a big clue after he shared and commented on a post from Millwall.

The London-based Championship outfit uploaded a throwback post about their Wembley Stadium outing in May 2017 for the League One play-off final, which they won - beating Bradford City 1-0.

The social media post was reposted by Alalshikh, who also commented on the club's post.

The 43-year-old posted a fire and lion emoji, with his cryptic message sending Millwall fans into meltdown.

One X user wrote: "Nearest club to the city of London! The potential & corporate is on another scale if in the right hands."

A second said: "Legend. Do us a favour mate."

A third added: "Bring us the ££ brother Turki."

Another commented: "No one likes us, Turki dont care, we are Millwall, super millwall, we are Millwall, from the ArabiaDen."

Millwall finished this season's Championship campaign in eighth place, registering 66 points. They were pushing for a play-off spot but fell short.
