Cristiano Ronaldo’s actions after Al Nassr’s loss this evening did not go unnoticed by fans.
The Ronaldo-led Al Nassr fell to a 30th minute strike from Deniz Hümmet in tonight’s AFC Champions League Two final.
Facing off against Japanese side Gamba Osaka, Ronaldo’s men were unable to respond to the first-half goal despite maintaining continuous waves of pressure across 90 minutes.
The final, held at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, left the Portuguese superstar furious, causing him to march down the tunnel immediately at the sound of the full-time whistle.

The 41-year-old, who scored just one goal in four games during the AFC Champions League Two tournament, went further than just leaving his team-mates alone on the pitch to grieve their loss.
Ronaldo refuses to turn up to AFC Champions League Two ceremony
The ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid icon did not reappear for the runners-up medal collection ceremony after the game, leaving his Al Nassr team-mates on their own once more.
Ronaldo, who is yet to experience major success with Al Nassr since his Saudi Pro League arrival in 2022, is currently enduring another trophyless season.
The Portuguese maestro is still in pole position to win the Saudi Pro League this season, currently two points clear of closest competitors Al-Hilal at the table’s perch.
Al Nassr could secure the title this weekend with a victory against relegation-battling Damac, which would mark Ronaldo’s first league title since 2020.
The 41-year-old’s team had an opportunity to lift the silverware on Tuesday evening against league rivals Al-Hilal, up 1-0 until a historic blunder by their goalkeeper in the 98th minute caused a 1-1 draw.
Bento scored an own goal after an Al-Hilal throw-in travelled far enough to reach his hands, by spilling the ball into his goal with just seconds remaining.
Ronaldo was seen staring on incredulously from the bench, as he witnessed that elusive Saudi Pro League title evade him once more.
The Portuguese superstar took to Instagram shortly after and wrote: “The dream is close. Heads up, we have one more step to take. Thank you for all of the amazing support tonight.”
Al Nassr’s head coach, Jorge Jesus, guided his players to the podium after tonight’s final loss to collect their silver medals, with Ronaldo’s absence clearly felt.
Jesus led Al-Hilal to a Saudi Pro League treble in 2024, gaining 96 points in 34 games domestically before moving to Al Nassr last summer.
After Tuesday’s tragic 1-1 draw against his former club, Jesus said: ‘It’s tough to have lost the possibility to celebrate winning the title today on the last play of the game, but there is still one more game at our stadium and we can be champions.”
‘We have a second chance [against Damac FC]. We still have a game to be happy. If the fans are as strong as today, for sure in the last game we will be happy and we will celebrate the title,” he continued.
Ronaldo will return to Saudi Pro League action on Thursday, as he looks to clinch his first league title since winning Serie A with Juventus in 2020.
