
Roberto De Zerbi was sent off during Marseille's Ligue 1 clash against Paris Saint Germain.
On Monday night, all eyes were on the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France as the 2025 Ballon d'Or awards ceremony took place.
PSG star Ousmane Dembele is among the heavy favourites to win the trophy after a stunning 24/25 season.
However, the majority of the PSG squad and manager Luis Enrique did not turn up as they were in Ligue 1 action against Marseille at the Orange Vélodrome.

To the surprise of many, Marseille came away 1-0 winners thanks to Nayef Aguerd's goal in the fifth minute.
As a result, PSG remain second in the Ligue 1 table as they trail AS Monaco on goal difference. Meanwhile, Marseille moved up to sixth place, having collected nine points from their opening five matches.
During the second half, with the match poised at 1-0, De Zerbi received his marching orders after appearing to shout at the referee.
The Italian was originally given a yellow card but the referee quickly brandished a red card when De Zerbi continued his rant.
At the Ballon d'Or awards, PSG were named the Club of the Year after a stunning season that resulted in them winning the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League trophy.

Meanwhile, PSG boss Enrique was named men's Coach of the Year, he said: "It is time for me to thank so many people. First of all I would like to thank my family. It is a special award for them too. Then I would like to thank everyone from Paris St-Germain, everyone makes this club what it is. And of course the players, because they accomplished an incredible year.
"I would like to thank two very special people. First president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who always looks after the team, and also Luis Campos, we have always shared a special relationship."
