A stunning report coming out of Marseille claims Roberto De Zerbi has banned two of his players from training following a furious bust-up over the weekend.
Marseille began the new Ligue One season with a trip to Rennes on Friday night, losing 1-0 in the 91st minute despite playing against 10-men for more than an hour.
It was reported that in the dressing room after the game, midfielder Adrien Rabiot and winger Jonathan Rowe got into a heated argument which included two altercations involving insults and physical contact.
Players and staff had to separate the duo in the ugly incident which occurred shortly after 11pm, with La Provence claiming that Rowe slapped Rabiot after feeling as though he was being targeted by comments.
De Zerbi is a renowned disciplinarian and according to L'Equipe, both players were suspended on Monday and were therefore not part of training on the Tuesday.

Rabiot's mother and agent Veronique told was that De Zerbi no longer wishes to work with him, with he decision communicated by Benjamin Arnaud, the club's general secretary.
Veronique did not receive a response when she sought clarification from sporting director Medhi Benatia.
What will happen with Rabiot and Rowe?
Rabiot, formerly of Juventus and PSG, has attracted interest from AC Milan - with Max Allegri a fan and early contacts taking place.
As for Rowe, the hero for England in the Under 21 Euros over the summer, he joined Marseille on loan with an obligation to buy in 2024 but his days look numbered already.
Jonathan Rowe now looks set to be on the move. Image: Getty The former Norwich City man is not short of suitors, however. According to Fabrizio Romano, Rowe had been due to speak to his representatives on Tuesday and is wanted by Serie A clubs Bologna and AS Roma.
However, he could also be in line for an incredible move back to English football in the Premier League, with newly-promoted Sunderland keen on the 22-year-old according to RMC.
Marseille are back in action on Saturday when they take on Paris FC, who came up from Ligue Two last term.
