Matheus Cunha once named his two favourite players, which included a star forward who 'destroyed' Brazil.

Cunha grabbed the headlines following Wolves' big 1-0 win over Manchester United last weekend as he went viral following a post-match moment at Old Trafford.

Man United are believed to be keeping tabs on Cunha ahead of the transfer window reopening this summer.

The Brazilian star, who has a £62.5 million release clause, is expected to leave Wolves at the end of the season despite penning new deal last February.

If he signs for Man United, then it'd be the sixth club of his career since turning professional.

He's plied his trade in Switzerland, Germany and Spain, having flourished in England's Premier League.

In Germany, he played for RB Leipzig and Hertha Berlin.

Whilst at Leipzig, Cunha named his two favourite players.

He opted for fellow countryman Ronaldinho and ex-Germany international Lukas Podolski.

Speaking to the Bundesliga in 2019, he revealed: "Ronaldinho is undoubtedly a great idol. It's hard to talk about him because he's my friend. He's definitely an amazing person who treated me very well. I wish him all the best and he deserves it."

The 25-year-old added: "In terms of players from the Bundesliga, I like Podolski very much. He destroyed the Brazil national team when he went there and became world champion, and I cried a lot at that time. But he seems to have a lot of affection from Brazilians even to this day. He's always playing around and joking with Flamengo. I believe Podolski is a German player, who has a great personality on and off the pitch."

Cunha spent three seasons in the Bundesliga before signing for Atletico Madrid, where he made 54 appearances.

He joined Wolves on an initial loan deal before the switch was made a permanent transfer.

Cunha has scored 32 goals for Wolves and has an impressive 14 league goals to his name this season.
