Man Utd could complete deal more than a week after transfer window closes in shock move nobody expected

Manchester United could facilitate a massive move in the transfer market despite the window closing a week ago.

It has only been seven days since the winter transfer window officially shut and yet several fans of the top clubs in Europe are already crying out for new signings.

One group of fans that were angered by their club's inactivity in the window are United supporters, who saw their team focus on outgoings rather than reinforcing the squad.

And it would appear that Amorim's transfer business is not yet done, as United are already working on a new transfer that could be finalised later this month.

Although the transfer window for all European clubs is now shut until the summer, this is not the case for clubs outside of the continent, as some remain free to conduct deals until the end of the month.

Despite the window being open elsewhere, clubs in Europe are not allowed to purchase players from these foreign teams, but they are allowed to sell players.

And, according to Brazilian outlet Bolavip, via SportWitness, it is exactly this that United are considering doing, as Brazilian club Flamengo have reportedly made an approach to sign Casemiro this month.

The 32-year-old had been linked with moves abroad throughout January, with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr reportedly keen on a move, but a deal was never agreed upon.

However, with United eager to move the midfielder on, a move to the Brazilian league, which has a transfer window that doesn't close until February 28, could be perfect.

Former Chelsea defender Filipe Luis is currently the manager at Flamengo and is said to have given the green light to bringing the Brazilian international back to his home country in what would be a spectacular move.

But if a move is to happen this month, then it appears that a loan is the most likely option, with United having to pay the majority of Casemiro's massive salary.

According to Capology, the Real Madrid legend currently earns a staggering £350,000 per week at United and is under contract until June 2026.

Despite his huge wage, the midfielder has failed to find regular minutes this season, making only 14 Premier League appearances so far this campaign.
