Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly flown in for talks with Ruben Amorim after Manchester United's dreadful start to the 25/26 season.
On the back of United's dismal 3-0 defeat against local rivals Manchester City last weekend, the pressure is beginning to mount on Amorim.
United are currently 14th in the Premier League table, having only collected four points from their opening matches.
In addition, the Red Devils were dumped out of the Carabao Cup in the second round by League Two side Grimsby Town.

Amid the rumours that Amorim could be sacked, it was reported earlier in the month that United remain behind Amorim for now.
However, according to The Mirror, Amorim now has three matches to save his job.
It has been suggested that although they remain committed to the Portuguese, the club will 'assess the situation and the trajectory of the team after their next three games'.

In addition, it was reported by The Athletic that United co-owner Ratcliffe flew into the club's training ground on Thursday to hold talks with Amorim.
Journalist Laurie Whitwell wrote: "Sir Jim Ratcliffe flew into Carrington by helicopter today for series of planned meetings including with Ruben Amorim.
"Team’s form on the agenda, but Ratcliffe wants to work through issues with Amorim."
Since replacing Erik ten Hag 10 months ago, Amorim has only won eight out of his 31 league games in charge.

Furthermore, it is believed that Amorim is starting to lose the confidence of some senior players within the squad.
Speaking after the defeat against City, Amorim was adamant that he will not change his system.
He said: "There are a lot of things that you have no idea what happened during these months, but I accept that.
"But I'm not going to change. When I want to change my philosophy, I will change. If not, you have to change the man."

The likes of Oliver Glasner, Gareth Southgate, Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola are among the favourites to take over at Old Trafford should United decide to part ways with Amorim.
