Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed which Liverpool legend he regrets not signing for Manchester United, and it's not Steven Gerrard.
During his 27-year stint as United boss, Ferguson completely changed the club's fortunes.
Ferguson led United to 13 Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues, among other trophies and established the Red Devils as one of the biggest clubs in world football.
During his tenure as manager, Ferguson worked with some of the club's greatest players, including Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Roy Keane, and Paul Scholes.

However, there were some players that Ferguson wanted to manage but never did, including a Liverpool legend.
As per ESPN, Ferguson revealed back in 2015 that he wished Tony Adams, Jamie Carragher and Gianfranco Zola had played under him.
Speaking about ex-Liverpool man Carragher, he said: "Those two [Adams and Carragher] are examples of how far you can go in the game when you have the inner determination and desire to be successful.
"You see the careers they had -- marvellous."

Ferguson also claimed that although he is doing a fine job as a pundit, Carragher has a future as a manager.
The Scotsman added: "I think he's got a career. He's also in television but he'd make a good manager. He's got the material."
This weekend, Liverpool will be taking on United at Anfield, with Arne Slot's men looking to end their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is looking to secure back-to-back victories for the first time since replacing Erik ten Hag.
Writing his column ahead of the huge Premier League clash, Carragher highlighted Mohamed Salah's record against the Red Devils.
He wrote for The Telegraph: "If there is one club which will fear negative appraisals of Salah’s form more than any, it is this weekend’s visitors to Anfield, Manchester United.
"Salah’s record versus United is extraordinary. He has scored 16 times against Liverpool’s historic rivals. No team has suffered more against him. His all-time tally in this fixture is seven more than any player for either club, enhancing his reputation as the man for the big occasion."
