Former Manchester United star Scott McTominay has urged his Napoli boss Antonio Conte to sign his former teammate this January.
McTominay has been a revelation in Italian football since making the permanent move from Old Trafford last season.
The Scotsman's debut campaign saw him score 12 goals, win the Serie A title, Napoli Player of the Year and also earn a top 20 finish in the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
Naples has seemingly become the most likely destination for footballing exports from Manchester, with Kevin De Bruyne and Rasmus Hojlund joining the Scudetto winners last summer.

According to a source from The Sun, there could be another switch on the cards with McTominay desperate for Napoli to add to their squad with another one of his former United teammates.
The source said: “Scott has been to see Conte and told him to get Kobbie.
“He’s told him all about his strengths and what an outstanding player he is," it continued.

“He knows all about him from his time at United and thinks he would be a great addition to the squad, whether it’s on loan or a permanent deal.
"He would fit straight in and give Napoli a boost," the source added.
Mainoo's future has been a hot topic of conversation following a loan request that was denied by Ruben Amorim towards the end of the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old has made zero Premier League starts this season, and is without an England cap since September 2024 despite starting the Euro 2024 final.
Despite the statistics telling a different story, Amorim has stressed that Mainoo remains in his plans, last speaking about his role in the squad ahead of the Manchester derby.
“I believe a lot in Kobbie but some of you think that Kobbie Mainoo is already done. I think he can do so much better. He can improve in a lot," he told the media.
The United manager claimed that the midfielder's issues come with his understanding of his role in the side.

“Kobbie could play as a No.6, but sometimes he passes the ball and goes away, and that’s not a reference as a No.6," he continued.
"I think he needs more pace, he needs to better understand the position, he needs to play in different speeds, sometimes slower, sometimes faster. I think he can improve on that.”
