Christian Eriksen has issued a response to Ruben Amorim for a controversial comment made last season.
Amorim has hit headlines aplenty in his 14-month stint in charge at United, producing a plethora of soundbites in various press conferences and interviews.
At present United are sitting sixth in the Premier League after 18 games, following a 1-0 win over Newcastle on Boxing Day.
But Amorim has been under pressure for a good chunk of his time at Old Trafford after replacing Erik ten Hag at the helm in November 2024, having suffered 21 defeats out of 61.

United finished 15th and lost the Europa League final to Spurs last season and at one point in January, in the middle of a wretched run, Amorim caused a stir when he said, "We are the worst team, maybe, in the history of Manchester United".

Many fans and pundits did not like the comment but it turns out that the dressing room weren't too fond of Amorim being so public about how poorly United had been performing.
Eriksen played 35 times in his fourth and final season for United and in a new interview with the Sunday Times, the Dane slammed Amorim for remarks which "didn't help".
"That didn't help," Eriksen said, as per ESPN.
"Yeah, that didn't help at all. I mean, that was not ... I don't think that helped the players at all.
"Some stuff you can say inside and it's not too clever to say outside, to put extra pressure and put an extra label on the players who were already trying to do their best.
"I don't think that helped at all, no. Then if he's right or wrong, whatever, but I think for us it was a bit of like, 'Oh, here we go again. Another headline.'"

With his deal nearing expiration, in May it was confirmed that Eriksen would be leaving at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
His final game came against Aston Villa, where he scored a penalty in a 2-0 win in to sign off in perfect fashion.
After leaving United, Eriksen signed for Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg on a free transfer, penning a two-year contract with the option of a third.
The former Spurs and Brentford midfield has played 13 times so far.
