Ralf Rangnick's only Manchester United signing could be about to finally make his debut for the Old Trafford club amid an injury crisis.
Rangnick took charge of 29 games as United's interim boss, finishing with a 38% win ratio.
The 65-year-old, who recently rejected Bayern Munich, was initially set to stay on as a technical consultant at United before taking the Austria national team job.

Rangnick spoke honestly about the need for "open heart surgery" in the United squad, but was only able to bring in one new recruit.
He had told United's top brass about the likes of Luis Diaz, Christopher Nkunku and Erling Haaland but the only new arrival was Tobias Collyer, who joined on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Brighton.
The defensive midfielder signed on March 2022 and reacted to the news by writing: “Delighted to join this great club @manchesterunited can’t wait to get started!”.

The England youth international has predominantly played for the Under 21 side but did play for the first-team against Wrexham in San Diego in pre-season.
He's been training with the first-team of late and his competitive senior debut could be on the horizon.
That's after Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News reported he has been included in the United squad for Monday night's trip to Crystal Palace.

The 20-year-old can also play as a centre-back and impressed fans with a recent display against West Brom's reserve side.
Collyer is an all-action midfielder who is said to cover around 13 km per game and Ten Hag was honest about his chances in the first-team.
"He showed some good stuff and he showed some potential," he said after United's defeat to Fulham in February.

"And so we have some problems. But yeah, it's, for him, an opportunity to be involved.
"He has to be ready to come on because you are on the bench to come on."
