Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has snapped back at a journalist who questioned his comments about the 'dynamic' style his team display.

Pressure is growing on the 54-year-old, as new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to assess his future at the club this summer.

United currently sit in sixth place within the Premier League, just one point ahead of an in-form Newcastle United side with four games to go.

The most recent outing for the Red Devils arrived against relegation battlers Burnley.

Led by their manager - and former Manchester City man - Vincent Kompany, the team currently sat in 19th place within the top flight of English football bossed United for large periods of the game.

United did grow into the fixture and eventually took the lead through Brazilian winger Antony, only to see it cancelled out by a Zeki Amdouni penalty with two minutes to go.

Speaking after the frustrating draw with the Clarets, Ten Hag made some controversial comments regarding his side.

"We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment,’ he told BBC after the draw to Burnley.

"We are creating loads of chances by playing good football. Every team gives up opportunities. But when it is up to us, it is weird."

Speaking ahead of the upcoming Monday Night Football clash against Crystal Palace, Ten Hag reiterated the claims about his side and clashed with a Dutch journalist who questioned them.

Viaplay’s Koen Weijland asked for clarification on the 'dynamic' comments, which sparked a fierce reaction from Ten Hag. "If you would do your research," he said. "You would see in our data that we are very dynamic in terms of attacking play.

"I’m just trying to explain that to you.

"If you did your job, you would see that we are the team that is currently the most attractive and vertical team in the entire Premier League in terms of speed and movement."

Weijland would go on to suggest the attractiveness of the team is subjective, to which Ten Hag replied by asking if he was entertained by the recent games against Liverpool and Chelsea - the journalist admitted he was.

"Then we agree," added Ten Hag. "We have approached the matches we have played in recent times in an attacking manner, especially for the neutral spectator.

"We create a lot of chances and we concede a lot. It is open and it is fun to watch."
