Several Manchester United fans have offered their thoughts after ‘worrying’ footage of Matheus Cunha emerged following the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw against Wolves.
Rob Edwards’ Wolves side, who have yet to win a game in the Premier League in 19 attempts, managed to not only hold United to a draw but also threatened to take all three points through a flurry of second-half chances on Tuesday (December 30).
Joshua Zirkzee put United ahead on 27 minutes, but the Black Country side hit back through Ladislav Krejci on 45 minutes.
And despite the prospect of retaining their Premier League status appearing slim at the halfway point of the season, the away side grew in confidence during the second half and threatened Senne Lammens’ goal several times forcing the Belgian to make some smart saves.

United thought they had won it late on as Jose Sa parried Benjamin Sesko’s shot towards Patrick Dorgu, who finished from close range, but the strike was ruled out for offside, meaning the spoils were shared at a disappointed Old Trafford.

At full-time, the home side were booed off as most supporters would have expected the Red Devils to beat the lowly away side, given their dismal record so far this season.
Shortly after the match, footage emerged of the United squad heading towards the tunnel while some fans voiced their dismay as they noticed Cunha appeared to gesture towards the Stretford End.
Warning: The following footage contains expletives some readers may find offensive.
Of course, Cunha had the incentive of facing his former club, which would’ve no doubt added to his desire to win the game. However, the Brazilian international was largely ineffective throughout the fixture.
Fans were quick to react to Cunha’s post-match behaviour on social media.
One said: “You can see the frustration on his face; he clearly expected more from the team. That competitive edge is exactly what drives top players.”
Another added: “Almost like drawing 1-1 at home to a team who haven’t won all season isn’t acceptable, instead of throwing your arms about to the fans, be better.”
A third claimed: “Cunha needs to learn to release the ball and link up. He’s constantly trying to take a man on. Rashford 2.0.”
While a fourth commented: “Imagine my shock, Cunha throwing his dummy out, almost like he didn’t post Instagram stories slating fans for having an opinion at Wolves.”
In another clip posted by the MEN's Steven Railston, goalkeeper Lammens also appeared disappointed after the match and stood with his hands on his hips following the draw.
United face rivals Leeds United at Elland Road on January 4 before they travel to Burnley on January 7.
