The Dutchman is keen to make the move.

Donny van de Beek has reportedly 'offered himself' to a European giant in a bid to escape Manchester United.

The 26-year-old joined the Red Devils from Ajax in 2020 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular first-team player at Old Trafford.

The midfielder has made just two substitute appearances for Erik ten Hag this season and is reportedly seeking a January exit.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Van de Beek has offered himself to Barcelona in an attempt to seal a transfer to the Camp Nou.

It would appear to be a thought through decision, with Barcelona currently without first-team star Gavi after suffering a potentially season-ending ACL injury.

As a result, the Catalan club may enter the January transfer market with a view to signing a short-term replacement for the 19-year-old.

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has also been mooted as a potential option for the Spanish side.

The report adds that Juventus are keen on acquiring Van de Beek on a six-month loan, which includes an option to buy at the end of the season.

The Dutchman said last month, via The Mirror: "I am bouncing to play matches again.

"The manager is making different choices now. We have a big squad and I am not the only one knocking on the door. We'll see in January what happens.

"I need to start playing games very soon - if not at Man United then at another club. I think I have to be ambitious.

"I have always been a lover of the game. I am absolutely crazy about football. I earn a good living at United, but money is not my motivation. I want to enjoy my work every day."
