We have used Football Manager to find out what Manchester United's first-team squad will look in 2030, six years into the Sir Jim Ratcliffe regime.

Back in February, it was confirmed that Ratcliffe and his team at INEOS would become minority owners after purchasing a 27.7 per cent stake in United.

The British billionaire, alongside Sir Dave Brailsford and Jean-Claude Blanc, have been handed full control of football operations at Old Trafford.

United are keen on making changes to their underperforming squad this summer but will only have £35 million to spend, according to reports.

However, the club are prepared to sell players as part of an overhaul, with Casemiro, Scott McTominay and Jadon Sancho being linked with moves away.

United's first team squad is likely to look a tad different when the 2024/25 campaign rolls around, but how will they look like in 2030?

With the help of Football Manager, we've simulated six seasons into the future to see if recruitment has improved under the new regime.

First of all, there is a new manager in charge. Erik ten Hag is longer at the club, with Abel Ferreira taking over in 2025 from Brazilian side Palmeiras.

Ferreira has brought in wholesale changes at Old Trafford, with additions including Josip Sutalo, Axel Disasi, Brahim Diaz and Michael Olise.

There has also been a flurry of notable departures. Jadon Sancho joined Spurs in 2025 in a deal worth £60 million, while Kobbie Mainoo penned a two-year deal with Luton in the summer of 2029.
