Manchester United fans want a star player sold ASAP following their victory over Ipswich Town with a stunning replacement already lined up.

Man United returned to the win column in the Premier League following their 3-2 victory over Ipswich on Wednesday.

The Red Devils went behind when Jaden Philogene pounced on a mistake between Patrick Dorgu and Andre Onana.

Ruben Amorim's side levelled proceedings when Sam Morsy converted into his own net, with Matthijs de Ligt putting his side in the lead.

Man United were then reduced to 10 men when Dorgu was dismissed following a VAR review.

Philogene equalised moments later but Harry Maguire headed home to make it 3-2.

Despite the victory at Old Trafford, Man United fans have seemingly had enough of Rasmus Hojlund, who endured yet another tough outing up front.

Hojlund, who joined the club for £72 million, fired blank against Ipswich and failed to see out the entire game after Amorim withdrew him in the second-half.

Man United supporters want the Dane sold ASAP as they made their feelings known on social media.

One X user wrote: "No matter who scores for United, you know it’s never Hojlund."

A second tweeted: "Why has Amorim taken off Garnacho? Hojlund is offering nothing!!!"

A third added: "Hojlund experiment over. Sell back to Italy in the summer."

A fourth commented: "Hojlund having 17 shots in 22 PL games this season tells us he doesn't really understand the CF position: the right movements to make and when/how to get shots off from certain positions. That's the type of shot production you would expect from a CM at a mid-table club."

A fifth said: "Hojlund needs to be sold ASAP he can’t do anything and that's not an exaggeration."

Rasmus Hojlund replacement already lined up

If Man United part ways with Hojlund, then the club have identified Victor Osimhen as their top transfer target.

That's according to a report from GiveMeSport, who claim Man United are confident that a deal for the Nigerian forward will become feasible if he is prepared to lower his salary demands.

Per the report, Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, would command a fee of £63 million.
