A shock Manchester United player has 'confirmed' he's in the matchday squad to face Tottenham and fans want Ruben Amorim to start him amid the club's injury crisis.

Man United resume their faltering Premier League campaign today when they face fellow strugglers Spurs.

The Red Devils have lost two of their last three league fixtures ahead of facing Ange Postecoglou's team at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Preparation hasn't been ideal as Amorim was dealt a triple injury blow in training as he has a selection dilemma on his hands.

Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer all suffered knocks during training sessions and are set for spells on the sidelines.

Ahead of Amorim officially naming his starting XI and squad, Sekou Kone has appeared to confirm his inclusion in the team.

Kone, 19, joined Man United last summer from Guidars FC and could be in line to make his Premier League debut.

The defensive midfielder took to social media to share a graphic of Man United's game at Spurs, seemingly confirming his spot in Amorim's party that has travelled to London.

Needless to say, Kone's social media post sent fans into overdrive as some Man United supporters want him to start in midfield.

One X user wrote: "He is starting for sure."

A second said: "Should start."

A third added: "Imagine he starts ahead of Casemiro."

A fourth commented: "Big moment for Sekou Kone, Excited to see what he brings to the squad."

Another urged: "Amorim should start him."

Kone isn't the only academty player set to be called up to the first-team as Amorim has reportedly bolstered his squad by calling up a four more teenagers.

Jack Moorhouse, 19, is said to have also travelled to London along with goalkeeper Elyh Harrison, 18, left-back Harry Amass, 17, and forward Chido Obi-Martin, 17.

It is believed that some of them will feature on the bench against Spurs while others have been taken in reserve in case more injuries strike before kick-off.
