Manchester United's coaching staff are reportedly tired of working with one player who is reportedly set to be replaced by a massive transfer target this summer.

Despite an initial upturn in form, Ruben Amorim's first four months as Manchester United manager have been far from easy.

In 15 Premier League matches in the United dugout, the Portuguese manager, who replaced former boss Erik ten Hag in November, has seen his side win just four, drawing three and losing eight.

But now, it appears that United's coaches have identified one player who could be a key contributor to United's poor form, and the club has already lined up his replacement.

It's no secret that perhaps the weakest area of Amorim's United squad is up front as both Rasmus Hojliund and Joshua Zirkzee have failed to impress despite giving plenty of minutes across all competitions.

According to Manchester Evening News, coaches of the club have become frustratingly frustrated with Hojlund in particular, as they begin to grow tired of waiting for their star striker to finally live up to the £64million United paid for him when he joined from Atalanta in July 2023.

The Danish international has not scored in his last 16 appearances for United and, following the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, it is reported that one member of the United coaching staff was furious about the 22-year-old's performance.

This feeling appears to be shared by United fans, who booed Hojlund when he was taken off with United 2-0 down against Everton on Saturday.

In total, Hojlund has scored just 23 goals across 76 appearances for Manchester United.

Therefore, it seems highly possible that Hojlund could be on the chopping block for United this summer, and a report from Givemesport has revealed that United have identified Galatasaray loanee Victor Osimhen as their top transfer target ahead of the summer window.

United have been impressed by the Nigerian International since he joined the Turkish giants from Napoli last summer, but could struggle to fit him into their wage structure and will ask him to take a pay cut should he be open to a move to Old Trafford.

As it stands, The striker is believed to be earning a weekly wage of around £204,309, which would place him in the top four earners at United.

Should a move for Osimhen be deemed impossible, then United will reportedly consider either Ipswich Town's Liam Delap or raiding Amorim's former club Sporting for star striker Viktor Gyokeres, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea.
