Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dropped a massive update on Victor Osimhen that Manchester United fans should pay attention to.

With just five games left in the Premier League season for most clubs, fans have already started looking ahead to next season and consider which players could sign for their club in the summer transfer window.

The transfer window will officially open in June, and it's no secret that United will be busy as they look to sign one or several strikers to replace out-of-form pair Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Osimhen is a name that will no doubt come out on top of any dream signing list for many United fans, and Romano has provided them with a huge update on the possibility of the move.

On deadline day last summer, Osimhen looked set to join Chelsea in a spectacular move from Napoli, but the deal ultimately fell through and the Nigerian international instead joined Galatasaray on loan.

Having seemingly fallen out of favour at Napoli, it's almost certain that the 26-year-old will again be keen to leave the club this summer, with the Premier League his ideal location.

But Romano has warned United fans that any deal for Osimhen would be completely out of budget, as the popular striker is demanding his next club continues to pay him the massive wages he earns with Napoli.

Speaking on YouTube, Romano said: “He wants the same salary he’s earning at Napoli – €12m net, plus commissions and his €75m release clause.

“No English club is ready to pay him €12m net.”

Despite the forward thriving in Turkey, scoring 30 goals, including six in the Europa League, and playing a key role in taking the lead over Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce in the Super Lig title race, Napoli could aceept a cut-price deal to let Osimhen go in the summer.

But even if this is the case, the striker would need to accept a significant wage cut if he were to join United, or any other Premier League club.

Instead, reports have suggested that Wolves star Mattheus Cunha is the most likely option for United this summer, with Ipswich Town's Liam Delap also linked.
