Erik ten Hag has landed himself a new job to keep busy during Euro 2024.

Following an end-of-season review, Ten Hag will remain as manager of Manchester United, despite taking the club to eighth in the 2023/24 Premier League season.

But after claiming an upset victory in the FA cup final against local rivals Manchester City, it would appear that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided to stick with the Dutch manager

Man United owners INEOS had considered other candidates such as Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino, but ultimately have stuck by the current boss.

Despite this, Ten Hag has reportedly decided to take on additional work over the summer as he is set to appear as a pundit during Euro 2024, which got underway on Friday night.

According to posts on social media, Ten Hag will make his debut on Dutch television as a pundit for England’s match against Serbia on Sunday night.

England head into Euro 2024 as the favourites to lift the trophy after losing the 2020 final to Italy in a penalty shootout.

Having spent two seasons managing in the Premier League, Ten Hag will be able to offer a unique perspective on the English game.

And with two Man United players included in the final 26-man England squad, he will likely speak about how he expects his players to perform at the tournament.

Luke Shaw, who scored the opening goal in the Euro 2020 final, has been a crucial part of the England team in previous tournaments, but has struggled with injuries last season.

However, Gareth Southgate opted to include the left-back in his squad as a necessary risk in case he recovers in time for the match against Serbia.

Therefore, Ten Hag may be able to give England fans an update on Shaw’s injury and if he is likely to make an appearance against Serbia.

The other Man United player in the England squad is Kobbie Mainoo, who enjoyed a breakout campaign under Ten Hag in the 2023/24 season.

Mainoo could play a key role for the Three Lions at the Euros as their midfield line-up remains uncertain.

While Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham are certain to start in the middle of the pitch, the third midfield spot is up for grabs, with Trent-Alexander Arnold, Conor Gallagher and Mainoo all in contention.
