Manchester United have expressed their interest in re-signing a player who left the club last season, according to a report.

Man United are set to be active this summer as they look to make changes to their squad ahead of the new season.

The Old Trafford outfit are seeking to replace Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial following their departures.

Man United are pursuing Everton's Jarrod Branthwaite and Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt, who, of course, played under Ten Hag at Ajax.

Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee is also attracting interest from the Red Devils as they seek to add more firepower to their attack.

And, according to Spanish outlet Diario AS, Ten Hag is also eyeing a move for Sergio Reguilon, who spent a portion of last season at Man United.

Reguilon joined Man United from Tottenham on a six-month loan as emergency cover for the injured left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

He made 12 appearances in all competitions before returning to his parent club.

After returning to Spurs, the Spanish left-back was shipped out on loan to Brentford, where he played 16 Premier League games.

Reguilon is back at Spurs but a move away from North London appears to be on the cards, with a few other teams keeping tabs on him this summer.

Man United are not the only English club monitoring his situation as West Ham United are also interested in the 27-year-old, who played under Julen Lopetegui at Sevilla.

Juventus have identified him as a potential left-back option, too.

Reguilon began his career at Real Madrid before moving to England, where he signed for Spurs in the summer of 2020.

He made 67 appearances in all competitions before returning to Spain in the form of a loan move to Atletico Madrid.

And, as mentioned, he then enjoyed spells at Man United and Brentford, with a permanent move away from Spurs destined to happen this summer.
