Bruno Fernandes once had a WhatsApp message about his teammates leaked and it showed just how high the Manchester United captain's standards are.
Fernandes led United on Sunday as they ended their Premier League Summer Series campaign with a 2-2 draw against Everton.
The Red Devils were pegged back twice in a thrilling encounter at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
After the game, Fernandes - who was criticised for a heated incident with Iliman Ndiaye - pulled no punches as he ripped into his own teammates, calling out 'laziness'.

"It’s been important for developing how we want to play and getting the new players involved," he told NBC Sports.
"We didn’t want to finish in this way. Our performance wasn’t the best and we were a little bit lazy. We want to avoid that because with laziness you can pay at any moment."

Fernandes added: "It’s improving. But it’s not the place it needs to be. I don’t want to take a dig at anyone, but the club is doing the best they can in terms of the financial situation they talk about.

"But it was crystal clear we needed more competition for the players that were here, more quality to get everyone to step up a little more to get to the XI. Hopefully, we can get one or two players more to help with that."
His outburst is a sign of the standards he is demanding as club captain.
The 30-year-old wants his side to go in the right direction following a miserable campaign last season, and is not afraid of making his feelings known.

It's a trait Fernandes has boasted since his days at Sporting CP, judging by his furious voice note he sent to a then-teammate during his time in Portugal.
Per Record, he is quoted as saying: "Bro, I don't say anything!
"I honestly, if you want me to tell you, I'd rather not comment on anything. I think very badly of some of the attitude of some players. Actually not a certain attitude, it's an attitude that does not exist. There are players who have no attitude here, bro.
"They don't want to be here, they don't want to play. They don't want to be here then f**k off, let them say they don't want to play.

"They spend a year here getting money, and then they f**k off, bro. Sh*t attitude bro, for f**ks sake."
Fernandes clearly wants the best for United and an explosive voice note to his current teammates could be one click away if they perform like last season.
