Casemiro was spotted jokingly scolding Bruno Fernandes during training on Tuesday, days after four Manchester United players including the Portuguese were involved in an alleged dressing room bust-up.

On Monday, The Sun claimed that four Red Devils stars were part of a dressing room bust-up following their 3-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.

Captain Fernandes was said to have confronted fellow midfielder Scott McTominay, while centre-back Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof were also reportedly involved.

Manchester United have since denied reports of the incident, as they prepare for their Champions league showdown against European heavyweights Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

In the lead-up to the clash, Casemiro could be seen shouting and gesturing in the direction of Fernandes during a rainy training drill. You can watch the footage below.

Fortunately it appeared to be a light-hearted exchange between the pair. While it is not clear why Casemiro was unhappy with Fernandes, Hayters suggested it may have been because the Portugal international was 'moaning' in training.

Spirits seemed to be high among the United squad despite winning just two of their opening five Premier League matches, alongside a number of off-field issues.

The footage also follows reports that Fernandes 'irritated' his teammates after their humiliating 7-0 defeat to Liverpool last season, with certain players having reservations over whether he should be handed the captain's armband.

Indeed, Fernandes is well known for demanding high standards from his players on the pitch, having previously sent a WhatsApp voice note allegedly questioning the attitude of his colleagues at Sporting Lisbon.

A huge European test awaits Erik ten Hag at the Allianz Arena as he looks to turn around United's dismal early-season form, before they travel to Burnley on the weekend.
