Scotland and Liverpool star Andy Robertson has taken aim at Manchester United over a massive transfer mistake.
Back in the summer of 2024, it was confirmed that Serie A side Napoli had completed a deal to sign United star Scott McTominay for a reported fee of €30 million.
Since moving to Italy, McTominay has been a key player for Napoli boss Antonio Conte.

During the 24/25 season, the 28-year-old managed 13 goals and six assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.
The Scotsman played a key role as Napoli successfully clinched the Serie A title ahead of Inter Milan.
Speaking ahead of Scotland's friendly match against Iceland, captain Robertson took aim at United over McTominay.

He said: "I think he went over there with a point to prove. I think he wanted to prove Man United wrong and prove people in the Premier League wrong. He has gone over there and done that pretty successfully. That’s credit to him, credit to his attitude and his determination to be the best version of himself. Now he is a king over there.
"At Man United he probably lacked getting that run of games consistently, he was in and out and things like that."
Robertson continued: "He probably didn’t get the respect he deserves. Then he goes over there, puts in a magnificent season and fair play to him to end it with the league title.
"Even before he was at Napoli, his standards for Scotland were unbelievable. He’s getting better and better, he has taken it to a whole new level."

Having left the club for €30 million last summer, McTominay's market value has increased due to his fine performances.

According to Transfermarkt, McTominay now holds a transfer value of €40 million.
Aside from McTominay, fellow Scotsman Billy Gilmour also made a move to Napoli last summer. Robertson has hailed the former Chelsea man too, he added: "It’s impossible to overlook Billy because he’s been excellent since he went over there."
After their match against Iceland on Friday night, Scotland will face Liechtenstein at the Rheinpark Stadion on Monday evening.
