A compilation of Andre Onana's individual highlights during his Manchester United debut against Real Madrid have gone viral.

Erik ten Hag finally secured a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2023/24 campaign as he snapped up Onana from Inter Milan for £47.2 million.

The Red Devils resumed their US pre-season tour by taking on Real Madrid at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Wednesday.

But they failed to beat the La Liga giants, losing 2-0. However, fans online were able to take a positive from the game in the shape of Onana, who starred between the sticks.

Man United's No.24 showed off his distribution as he played out passes from the back while looking extremely comfortable on the ball.

One Twitter user wrote: "Onana’s distribution is OUTRAGEOUS..."

A second tweeted: "Onana is just a breath of fresh air, looks so comfortable whenever he has got the ball, what a signing he is going to be for us."

A third added: "So impressed with that Onana's performance. Build-up, distribution, made some really good saves, and showed leadership qualities at the back. Absolutely excited for this top quality signing."

A fourth said: "Onana completing 39/40 passes but people are losing their heads over an offside goal and a worldie in the 90th minute when our entire defence went into the dressing room in the 85th minute."

Onana and Co, meanwhile, return to action on Monday when they face Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old will likely have another chance to impress in pre-season before he starts his career in the Premier League.

Man United begin their 2023/24 season against Wolves on August 14.
